Anxiety

Finding Calm in the Midst of Worry

Anxiety is your body and mind's natural response to stress or perceived danger — and in small doses, it can actually be helpful. But when anxiety becomes persistent, overwhelming, or begins to interfere with daily life, it's a sign that something more is going on. Whether it shows up as constant worry, panic attacks, social anxiety, or a deep sense of dread that's hard to shake, anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy.

Living with anxiety can be exhausting. You might find yourself replaying conversations, anticipating worst-case scenarios, avoiding situations that trigger fear, or feeling physically tense and on edge much of the time. Over time, these patterns can narrow your world and make it harder to feel present and engaged.

The good news is that anxiety responds very well to treatment. Our therapists are experienced in helping people understand what's driving their anxiety — and develop practical skills to manage it. We use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful thought patterns, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build a different relationship with anxious thoughts rather than fighting them.

You don't have to keep white-knuckling through it. With the right support, genuine relief is possible.

Take the first step toward feeling more like yourself again. Reach out to our office to schedule a consultation.
